Marc Ocean jewellery care
Our anchor bracelets are hand crafted and subject to strict QC. For all our jewellery products, please ensure the following:
Avoid wearing with excessive water or steam contact, this will cause the product to wear and tear quicker over time. Leather should avoid all contact with water. Avoid wearing it during sport for safety reasons. Avoid contact with any chemicals or body products such as cream, perfume, hairspray, makeup as well as contact with any cleaning products. you may clean the product with a soft cloth or using soap and water.
Nylon Rope Bracelets - For light marks on your rope, just use warm water, soap and a soft brush, squeeze out any excess water using a cloth and let it dry naturally.
Stainless steel - All our products are manufactured using the highest quality of 316L Stainless steel, with this not being the hardest material in the world, it is prone to scuffs and scratches when in contact with any hard or abrasive surfaces. Please avoid any contact as much as possible. Stainless steel can be cleaned using a soft micro fibre cloth, water and soap may be used if required. Wipe the excess water and allow it to dry naturally. Do not use any items under salt water as prolonged contact will cause the material to erode, therefore damaging the bracelet. If under contact with salt water rinse the steel in fresh cold water. Remove jewellery before showering or swimming, when not being worn it may be placed in the soft pouch they come with, avoiding exposure to sunlight.
Leather - Leather must not be exposed to water and must not be used when showering, swimming, or water based sports. Light stains can be cleaned using water and soap solution. Apply gently and dry with a damp micro fibre cloth and allowing it to air dry. Keep leather out of the sun, and in a cool dry place when not in use. Keep leather away from abrasives and any hard materials.
Marc Ocean Watch Care
All our watches come with a 6 month manufacture guarantee for quality and materials defects effective from the purchase date. The warranty doesn’t cover standard wear and tear, the battery, the strap, loss or theft. Marc Ocean won’t accept any warranty claim if the watch shows signs of excessive use or of misuse. Please follow the below instructions to maximise the lifespan of your timepiece. Although your watch is designed to last a lifetime, it is a known fact in the watch industry that taking a little time to care for your timepiece can increase the wearing time significantly. Heres a few tips:
Cleaning you watch - Keeping your watch clean is essential to maintaining the quality of the timepiece. Use a damp cloth to gently wipe the case and crystal clean, do not put too much pressure on the crystal as you clean, and avoid immersing it in water regardless of the water resistance. Cleaning your watch every couple of months will prolong the appearance, and will minimise the chance of dust, dirt and moisture getting inside the case.
Water resistance- All our watches come with at least 3ATM water resistance. This means it is splash resistant and is suitable for rain, splashes, & other occasional contact with water. Please see the below table for guidance.
To determine the level of water resistance of your watch, please see the case back of the watch.
WARNING!
Please do not submerge your watch in water without checking the level of resistance. Please ensure the crown is pushed in before any contact with water.
Watch bands:
Stainless steel strap: Use a soft toothbrush and mild soapy water to clean metal bracelets. Rinse with cold water and use a dry cloth to polish it.
Leather strap: For leather straps, avoid getting it regularly damp, exposing it to direct sunlight and contact with chemicals like perfumes, solvents and detergents. You can regularly wipe the strap with a dry soft cloth.
Rubber strap: Like leather straps, rubber straps shouldn’t be exposed to chemicals like perfumes, cosmetics or oily products.
Avoid magnets & vibrations - Magnetic fields can interrupt your watch movements, so avoid it at all costs to ensure the longevity of your watch. Avoid doing work which causes vibrations, always take off your watch before doing any such work. Impacts and shocks can damage your watch crystal, dial and movement.
Exposure to sunlight and extreme temperatures - Sunlight can fade the colour on your watch and mostly your leather strap, steer clear of any direct sunlight. As with all batteries, extreme heat can reduce the battery life of your watch. It is recommended to not wear your watch in these conditions.
Chemicals - Avoid regular contact with products such as solvents, perfumes, cream etc. When spraying perfume, let it dry completely before wearing your watch.
*THIS SECTION OF THE GUIDE IS SPECIFIC TO AUTOMATIC WATCHES ONLY*
Our automatic watches come with a special kinetic movement, the way this works is the weight disc located behind the watch will move every time the watch’s position is changed by the action of the arm and wrist. It then stores the energy in the reserve, which means your watch does not have a battery.
Winding you watch - Your watch needs to be manually wound before it will run automatically. With the watch removed from your wrist, Wind the crown in a clockwise direction for about 15-20 turns, as you rotate the crown, you will feel the spring tension & the crown getting tighter.
WARNING!
Do not continue to rotate the crown if you feel the springs are fully loaded & do not force the crown. Stop winding as soon as you feel resistance. This can permanently damage the movement on the watch.
After winding your watch, it will continue to power itself automatically through the kinetic movement. It is recommended you wear your watch at least 8 hours a day to ensure maximum power reserve. If you have not worn your watch for more than 20 hours, or you see the watch is not moving, you can manually wind your watch by following the same above steps.

All our watches come with at least 3ATM water resistance. This means it is splash resistant and is suitable for rain, splashes, & other occasional contact with water.
To determine the level of water resistance of your watch, please see the case back of the watch.
How do you set the time?
To adjust the time on your watch, simply pull out the crown and turn it clockwise. If you overshoot your desired time, do not turn the crown counter-clockwise to go back. Turning the crown counter-clockwise will force and damage the watch’s movement. Instead you will have to continue winding clockwise until you come back around to the correct time again, then just click the crown back in to place.
